Titan launched its new range of throttle bodies at the recent Autosport International show. The new range, featuring carbon-fibre turmpets and lightweight castings, has been designed to meet the demands of motorsport, but also offer a reliable and cost effective solution to fast road applications.
This range is the result of over 12 months design and development, which was started when Titan was approached by two leading engine builders and asked to produce solutions for projects they were working on.
With focus on producing a lighweight system, Titan worked with a leading composite company to develop carbon fibre trumpets that reduce overall assembly weight and maintain optimum airflow across the composite surface. The manufacturing process used offers exceptional finish on both sides of the material and aesthetically finishes the system perfectly. Sixteen new throttle systems were launched to suit a wide range of engines including: Ford, Honda, Renault and many more.
A new dry sump kit for the popular Honda K20 engine was also launched at the show, being a direct result of customer demand, as Titan has recieved several enquiries for their solution for this engine, demonstrating, very well, how Titan is able to respond to market requests.
The Autosport International show also saw Titan exhibit alongside the Bloodhound SSC display, as the chosen steering rack supplier for this world-first project.
"Autosport was a great show for us", commented sales and marketing manager, Zoe Timbrell. "It was perfect for the UK launch of our new products and having our display in the main show alongside Bloodhound SSC was really good as well. We have lots of customer interest, so it's worked well".
